Primitive History of TV in Moldavia

From March, 2-nd 1988 Strasheny transmitters on R3, R11 and ch.30 have been used instead of those in Kishinev. Before this change VHF band in Kishinev was overfilled with different harmonics. 1988: "TVR Bucuresti" can be received in Kishinev from Romanian territory on R-channels 9, 5, 6, 8, 12, 4. Good signals on R-channels 9 and 5. On weekdays their programmes go at 1800-2030 UTC, on Saturdays at 1100-1300 and 1700-2030, on Sundays at 0930-1300 and 1700-2030. 1990: On October, 14-th "TVR-1" took place of the "2-nd Union programme"" on channel R8 in Kishinev and on ch.25 in Rezina. As I know (don't remember from where) the powers for Strasheny transmitters are 50 kW for R3 and R11, and 100 kW for ch.30. Kishinev R8 - 100 W. From January 1, 1992 "1-st Union programme" has been called "Ostankino-1". In the right lower corner of screen there appeared ID sign:  .
"2-nd Union programme" has been changed by "PTP"
(Television of Russia). At 0500 am on January 1 "PTP" relays on the territory
of Moldavia has been stopped, as well as radio programmes of Russia on MW and FM.On February 1, 1992 "TVR-1" moved to "Ostankino-1" channels, except R2-channel in Chimishlia, while "Ostankino-1" moved to the channels of former "2-nd Union programme.." On February 25, 1993, 1700 UTC "PTP" was noted on R5-channel. B/W picture, strong signal, nothing in common with distant propagation. 1993, March 12, 2100 UTC: "  "

transmitter that relayed "PTP".1993, March 30: there were no " "
for a week at least, and today in the evening - it's seen again.From the end of March, 1993: "TV5-Europe" has been relayed on R8 in Kishinev. From April 12 or 13, 1993 R5 channel has been carrying vertical color lines table. 1993, April 30: TransDniester transmitter on R5 started relaying "PTP". From June 18, 1993 " " has been

In the beginning of November, 1994 there were activated new transmitters in Kaushany. "Programmes of Radio and TV" of that time reported following "TV Channels on the territory of Moldova Republic"

1995: From March 1 "Ostankino-1" is relayed in Moldavia at
0330-0800 and 1600-2200 UTC, on Saturdays and Sundays at 0330-2200 UTC.1995, April 1: "Ostankino-1" became "OPT" (Russian Public Television). At 0200 UTC it started programmes with new ID sign in upper right corner of screen:  1995, May 29: "BTB" started test operations on ch.23 in Kishinev, relaying various satellite programmes. July 9, 1995: "TVM" has  ID sign in upper-left corner of screen.
1995, August 1: "OPT" and "UT2" exchanged channels all over Ukraine. 1995, August 13: "CTV (Catalan)" started to test ch.43 in Kishinev relaying "MCM". 1995, September 30: "BTB" began daily relays of "TB6" from Moscow. Those days "Programmes of Radio and TV" published following "TV Channels on the territory of Moldova"

1995, October 1: "OPT" changed its ID sign in the upper right
corner of screen to  .1996: "Antenna" supplement to "Komsomolskaya Pravda" newspaper reported that transmitter on R5-channel
is located in Mayak village of Grigoriopol region.1998, January 1: "OPT" changed its upper right ID sigh to  .1998, December 1: There have started 24 hour relay of romanian "PRO TV " from Kishinev RTV tower on channel 37 (Vertical, 5.5 MHz, PAL, 1 kW). "TB6-NIT" (Moscow-Kishinev) has also appeared on ch. 49 (Vertical, 6.5 MHz, SECAM, 1kW) in parallel to ch.23 (Horizontal, 6.5 MHz, SECAM, 100W. ("Antenna", December 11). Late March, 1999: ch.23 was switched off. April 16, 1999: "TVM" has been carrying  in upper-left corner of screen at least since the beginning of 1999.From June 7, 1999 relays of "OPT", "TVM" and "TVR-1" in Moldavia has been shortened to 3 hrs (1700-2000). In early August 1999 a new TV channel appeared on ch.26."TV26" shows 3 films a day at 1700-2100. May 21, 2001: "Costeshty TV" (R35 UHF) started again daily operations between 14 and 18 UTC. May 23, 2004: For 2 years or so "TVM" has been with a new ID in the lower right corner of the screen  . |
